AICM/AIXM CBT

Module 1 - AICM/AIXM Introduction normal viewing - full screen viewing
This module is a general introduction that explains the layout and functioning of the CBT and the basics and origins of AICM/AIXM. If you are already familiar with these concepts, feel free to jump to Module 2.

Module 2 - ER Modelling normal viewing - full screen viewing
This module explains the basics of the Entity-Relationship Modelling (ERM). ERM is a very precise visual language that is used to produce conceptual diagrams like those that define the AICM. If you are already familiar with ERM, feel free to jump to Module 3.

Module 3 - AICM General Concepts normal viewing - full screen viewing

Module 4 - Aerodrome and runway normal viewing - full screen viewing

Module 5 - Airspace normal viewing - full screen viewing

Module 6 - Timetables normal viewing - full screen viewing
This module explains the use of time restrictions and schedules, how they can be applied to aeronautical concepts and how they are represented in AICM.

The "General" topic outlines the extensive use of schedules to specify the availability of aeronautical features.

The "Coded Values" topic explores how simple codes can represent a series of different basic situations such as an aerodrome being open 24 hours a day.

Finally, the "Timesheets" topic builds upon the previous topic. It shows how more complex schedules, which can't simply be represented by a code, can be described in AICM.

Please note that the examples given in this course should NOT be used for any sort of live planning. The details given should NOT be considered current.
